Our fearless leader and founder, Richelle Eberts, has been a certified stylist for over 11 years. Richelle has been passionate about all-things hair since a very young age. As a “thin-hair” babe, she has spent years trying every extension brand and method under the sun. In search of that perfect blend, volume, and mermaid length, she decided to take matters into her own hands and launch her own line of extensions.

WHERE DOES THE HAIR COME FROM?

You may not think this is something to even consider when buying hair.
We only sell Human Remy Cuticle Intact Hair. (Psst – what does that mean?). To start, the hair is sourced from European donors with Caucasian type hair. This means the hair naturally has a slight wave and isn’t very coarse.

So, you’re saying the hair is sourced from people? Exactly! Most consumers are unaware of the “black market of hair”. As the extension industry does not have regulations, this leads to shady unethical practices to supply cheap hair. In some countries, women and girls are held down while their hair is forcibly removed from their head with no compensation. Our hair is ONLY EVER sourced from willing donors who are compensated fairly.

HOW DO I KNOW IT'S GOOD QUALITY?

Back to that “cuticle intact” – why should you care? The cuticle helps the hair stay strong, healthy, and glowing. It also helps your hair remain tangle free and extends the life of your Laux.

We’re pro-surgery-choice (no silicone shade here!), but not pro-silicone hair extensions. Some brands coat their hair in silicone to look shinier and healthier than it actually is. Once you leave the salon and give it a few washes, that fake shine and glow fades leaving your extensions looking ratty and matted. We don’t play with silicone in our hair and Laux Hair is 100% silicone free.
