Cold hair fusion extensions were created to be a gentle alternative to keratin hot fusion hair extensions. Cold fusion hair extensions do not use heat to apply the hair extensions to your hair. This is a no heat hair extensions method that bonds hair via an ultrasound applicator. It is a more updated extension method that was created to be a lot more gentle on your natural hair than hot fusion.
 
Ultrasonic cold fusion is similar to hot fusion but different in one key aspect - it doesn’t use heat. It works because of keratin - a surprisingly common protein. Keratin is found in the form of skin, nails, and hair.
 
It can be used to make an adhesive that is then placed in your hair to attach small sections of hair extensions. The keratin used is colour matched to your hair, making it blend incredibly well. 
 
In ultrasonic fusion, a small applicator is connected to a machine which sends ultrasound waves. These waves cause subtle vibrations which cause a bond to form that your stylist will “roll” or flatten into a cylindrical shape.
